"You're so petite, I wish I had your boobs!"
Sloot Journal1806 hrs.
Thursday - I woke up and felt like crap. I think I had the "Freshers Flu", which is a 24 hour bug that you get in which your throat is killing you and you're achy to the point where you don't want to stand. I had my PACE class meeting (for Race and Representation) and then my drama meeting. I slept before and between the meetings (NO, NOT DURING THE MEETINGS). I had met Rosalind for breakfast before the PACE meeting, went to the meeting (we got lost on the way because no one knew where the room was), I went home and slept, woke up for the theatre meeting, went home and slept, ate something, and then ended up going to Royal Holloway with John and his friend Rosie. I met up with Matt, Josh, Krista, and Shell at their club/bar MEDICINE. Tia was sleeping. We all had a drink, and then I went to Shell's room. I met her flatmate Matt, and then we went to her room. I took a 2:30 AM shower, and then Krista came over. We went to bed around 3ish or 4ish.
Friday - John and I got up early to run back to the Freshers Fayre! WOAH! Craziness there. People bombarded us to join all these clubs and stuff. John and I met up with Amy, and then we went back home. We walked to Aldi's and Staples, had KFC for lunch (Um...the only dipping sauce they have is BBQ - AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT - AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR KETCHUP!), and then went back to the flat. I went to the drama welcome party, and Doug ended up coming to school. We decided last minute to run to see if we could get cancellation tickets for THE LAST FIVE YEARS. Tricia and Tori came with us - but we didn't get them. We went to Leischter Square and the best coffee house ever - we also went to a bar in which I got a glass of pudding wine for 7 pounds. WHAT?! THANKS bar! But we ALSO went to Cafe Vergnano - which is my favorite coffee place ever. They sprinkle their logo in chocolate powder on your hot chocolate! We all went to bed and decided to try for tickets the next day.
Saturday - I got up early to run to a theatre forum at the Royal Court Theatre. Tori came with me. It was all about the vision for the Royal Court theatre, what European vs. british theatre was, and if the theatre has lived up to expectation. It was SO interesting. We ran to the LAST FIVE YEARS theatre to try for tickets - it was the last day. We waited an hour and a half for the box office to open - I met a friend of Jay G's (from Phoenix) named Max - and we put our names on the list. We got the tickets - I cried - and saw the show - WHICH WAS PHENOMENAL. Their use of space was breathtaking. We met the girl who played Cathy and she was so much fun. We ran to Oxford to meet up with tricia and the bunch from Royal Holloway. We went to a pub, and then I went home. I played RING OF FIRE at our neighbor's flat, and then my flatmates and I went to the Union. Doug stayed over, and we all grabbed chips at around one. We were dead, so we all went to bed - at around three! ARGH
Sunday - I woke up at 11 AM today and went to the Vintage Fair at Camden with John. We had such a great time. I bought the cutest vintage dress for 25 pounds - but now I need a bag and shoes (THANKS JOHN, YOU BAD INFLUENCE YOU!). The title of this post comes from what one of the workers had said when I came out in the dress - and this is according to John, because I didn't hear her say it. The girl reminded me of a mix between Lauren and Kerry. She was dressed completely in vintage, but she was taller and thinner than me. I heard her say how this dress is only made for a certain type of person - more petitie. But supposedly she also said that I was so lucky that I was so petite, yet I had "big boobs". Yeah. I laughed at that. hahaha. We spent most of the day in Camden, and here we are now!
Hope all is well in the US!
