New name - new job

Sloot Journal
31 - August - 06
1349 hrs.

So, I've been given a new assignment. I am now an International Sloot Spy - but I'm not JUST an International sloot spy. I am the Official International Asian Sloot Spy. Hell yeah!

...and this all came from private talks with KMitch.

Who is KMitch, you may ask?

She's the International Sloot Spy stationed at Royal Holloway.

But you didn't hear this from me.

It's top secret.

Shhhhhhh!

23 days...

It scares me to think TOM'S IN ITALY! Yeah. And Jane Gomes left today! KK leaves tomorrow! WHAT?!

Craziness...

And in 23 days, I'll be joining them overseas. AHHHHHHH!

On September 22nd I'll be taking a 9:45 PM flight with Trish and Matt to Heathrow. From there, Trish and I will take the Underground (Piccadilly line) to Central London, where we will change at Green Park to the Jubilee line (Robert J's favorite line). From there, we will go to Canada Water and jump on the East London Line to New Cross Gate - which is two or three blocks from our flat ~ Loring Hall.

Sadly enough, I figured that out already - and I'm so proud! That's better than me and the subway.

After our 12 noon check in, I'll be once again taking the Jubilee line to the Apollo Royale Theatre to see - you guessed it - a 2 PM showing of WICKED! I'll stay to meet the cast and then head back to Goldsmiths for a 6 PM meet and greet dinner...

So that's the deal with my first day - and I'm not even there yet.

All right. GtG take a shower and play some video games - not gonna lie. TTYS!

Terrorist Attacks?!

So shortly after my cell phone alarm awoke me at 7:45 AM this morning, I received a call from my friend David who is currently in Florida for the AmeriCorps (I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!). Once we got finished talking, I called my mom to tell her I had spoken to David. She asked how he was and then asked if I had been watching the news.

"I just woke up, mom!" was my reply. She told me to turn on ABC, that there were terrorist reports in regards to flights leaving the UK, and that no one was able to bring liquids on board (i.e. contact solution - I LOVE how that was her FIRST example!). There were reports of terrorists bringing on bottled drinks that had a milky like substance in the *bottom* of the container. The container was actually a false bottom with a home made liquid explosive. When a camera was flashed at the bottle, the liquids would explode, being able to take out a plane.

Now, I'm not good at physics or science in general, so don't ask how a camera flash could ignite a milky substance that would serve as a bomb, but supposedly it can!

Of course my mom freaked out, and then Charlie Richter brought the issue up in the theatre office. Robert J's quote of, "I'm glad I went abroad last year!" didn't help the situation either.

Oh well. Just more excitement in my life! :)

Test 1, 2, 3

...anything but that!

Hello all, and welcome to the very first post of my London blog!!!!!

44 days until London gets prettier and a WHOLE lot crazier! Yes, I've been keeping an unofficial count down. I have also started getting things ready for London. I have two purses, my diary, and my Disney Princess pens ALL ready for my trip overseas!

I have also been talking to some of the fabulous Muhlenberg alumni and upperclassmen who have gone abroad and have wonderful stories to share!

Well, I have KAMP bright and early tomorrow morning, so I'm gonna go to bed. Night, and thanks for reading!
